Refining a search
This search looks at the whole web, but has a bias towards sites we have "labelled". This doesn't necessarily mean they will come top: e.g. if you search on "baptism" websites or even pages all about baptism are likely to come above a page on our site with a single sentence. (But ours should come above others with only one sentence.)
If you find you have too many results you can click on one of refine options. Only sites we have applied this "label" to will then be searched.
Labelled sites:
Only a few have so far been labelled to get this search up and running quickly, more will be added (soon it is hoped). If you have suggestions for sites we should include you can either
- Send the suggestion to the webmaster or
- Volunteer to update the list yourself
Search Wikipedia
Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia. It is created by the community of internet enthusiasts, with monitoring to try to keep the content accurate but (like other sources of information) it can have errors. It is a good source of information of the type you might find in a paper encyclopedia - things which do not date or only slowly. This site does or will provides links to material relating to Saints Days and the Christian year, about parts of a church building or liturgy (the form of church services) etc.
Go: look for a page with the name as entered; Search: look for all pages containing the word(s) entered
n.b. the results of this search will appear on a Wikipedia page not on this page
