people of various nationalities standing together on a globe We held a flower festival in 2002 enjoyed by many so decided it was time to hold another: from 10am* to 4pm Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2007. We are holding this as part of the Gillingham Festival and our aim is to promote the theme of ‘World Togetherness’, donating all profits to the charity, Practical Action.

Practical Action

With the theme we chose, it seemed right to extend our reach overseas. Charity may begin at home but must not end there. Practical Action does as its name implies in the poorer and harder pressed parts of the World. For example, it is active in the Darfur region of Sudan, helping farmers construct ‘crescent terraces’ to water their land. The lack of irrigation water is just one of the underlying causes of the conflict there. Find out more about Practical Action.

We are committed to showing the love of God in action throughout the world.
