Practical Action
With the theme we chose, it seemed right to extend our reach overseas. Charity may begin at home but must not end there. Practical Action does as its name implies in the poorer and harder pressed parts of the World. For example, it is active in the Darfur region of Sudan, helping farmers construct ‘crescent terraces’ to water their land. The lack of irrigation water is just one of the underlying causes of the conflict there. Find out more about Practical Action.
We are committed to showing the love of God in action throughout the world.
Put the date in your diary now!
We have invited participation from churches, schools and flower groups around the Gillingham district and are delighted at the response – there should be plenty for you to see so put the date in your diary now (refreshments available). Togetherness begins here!
