The Town WebsiteThe main source of information about the town online can be found here. Three RiversThe Three Rivers Partnership is a community partnership which aims to bring the communities in and around Gillingham together to plan for the future and to make that plan happen. It does not replace local town or parish councils but lends strength to their work by co-operating closely with them and with district and county councils and other bodies. At present a lot of effort is going towards getting a new new community leisure centre for the town. Other local sitesThe North Dorset Net is "A North Dorset Living Guide". It aims to encourage local activity, with information about local festivals, classes, gardens open, shopping ... The Slade Centre is a business and arts venue in Gillingham - their website shows what classes and other events are taking place there. Gillingham FestivalGillingham Festival takes place in roughly the first two weeks of July each year. Information can be found here. The local authoritiesDorset CountyThe Dorset County Council website has sections on as well as the more obvious council concerns - amongst which is the library section (which includes the facility for you to renew your library books). North DorsetNorth Dorset District Council website The TownGillingham Town Council website The weatherFrom the Metoffice, The National Environment Agency website gives the latest position with regard to flooding or flood warnings. It also shows maps with warnings of flooding.
