You may find a wide-screen version of this calendar easier to use for the "month" view.
Even clearer can be subscribing (free) to Google calendar and looking at the information there, as you can select different colours for the different calendars pulled together here. Also, on Google Calendar you have a greater choice of views e.g. "diary" versions by week or day with events shown at the appropriate times.
This page is similar to the calendar in the "services and events" section but contains extra information. This is to make it of more use when planning events but inevitably makes it less easy to read.
