Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honour.Proverbs 21.21

Introduction

We, the members of St. Mary's, are committed to showing the love of God in action throughout the world.

Most of this will be through the way we try to live our lives as individuals and through our individual involvement with or support of a varity of organsiations locally and further afield.

However, we also collectively take action or support certain charities. Some action or support we do regularly, other events or support happens on occasional or a one-off basis.

Sometimes our support may be through a special effort with that aim, at others through our giving of the profits of a social event which may be reported on more fully in the "our news" section of this website.

Here you can learn about our regular activities and find the details and results of occasional / one off events.

Christian Action Committee

Many of our activities in this area are co-ordinated by our Christian Action Committee.

Cross above our chancel arch

Our Lord Jesus Christ stretched out His arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within the reach of his saving embrace. Through the Sacrament of Baptism we have been made one with Christ so that we, reaching forth our hands of love and service, may bring those who do not know the Lord to the knowledge and love of him.

We regularly support ...

by harvest giving

At harvest we collect produce and sometimes also donations to support different charities. In recent years the produce has gone to a local Womens' Refuge.

Other action in 2007 ...

Christmas Boxes - The Trussell Trust
